This Thursday at 2:00 pm there will be a ribbon cutting to usher in the new Transitional Housing site project. Dignitaries from our City will be there along with the newspaper and City4 TV. Invitations have gone out to local churches, businesses, and individuals who have helped. Your attendance is appreciated. The site is located across from Hatch Toyota off of highway 60. Praying About NHCF Growth

If you haven't noticed...we're growing. This means that we need a vision for the future. We've already expanded our parking lot, and we're in the process of modifying our building space as the need arises. Plans tentatively exist for a new chapel, and we could be going to two worship services in the near future. All of these things weigh upon our leadership because we don't want to miss God. Please pray with us.

Baptism

Today we are happy to be baptizing Cody Stout. Congratulations! You may need to be baptized. Perhaps you never have, or, you were baptized as child, and now, as s mature believer the Spirit is convicting you?

Please read Romans 6.1-11.

Be an Overcomer

What have you got that needs “ No, seriously. How’s it going? I suppose that most would say “Oh, so so.” Two steps forward and one step back, so to speak. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. The key to overcoming is you. What do you want ? Have you prayed it through, asking the Lord to take it?

I remember one of our members years back, who has since moved away, coming to me in a weeping state. He’d been smoking marijuana for some time, and he wanted to quit but he couldn’t. He kept saying, “it’s just so hard.” Well, yes it is when you ’re the one doing it.

Life gets on top of us, and we look for an escape . Even as believers, we get side tracked into believing that we can do it…alone. Not so Paul tells us that he’s “learned the secret of being filled and going hungry , both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4.12,13). Can it be that simple? Yes ! The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, resides in you. Be filled with the Spirit” is not some religious fantasy (Phil. 3.10,11; Ephes. 5.18). The Holy Spirit is real, and He is our helper. Be led by the Spirit through prayer and pronouncing the Word on those things you want to overcome.

Remember, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matt. 19.26). Partner up with the Lord
