Tom and Jeany Geffert express their gratitude and thankfulness for all who helped them pack and who have continued praying for them.

Just Have Faith

Easier said than done. Right? I'm sure that most who are encouraged to "just have faith" are in no state to exercise their faith. More probably, they are just hanging on to survive.

We are misdirected to believe that we generate faith by persevering under trial. No, faith is not gritting your teeth and bending your back to physically jerk your life circumstances around. Faith is both a gift, "for each has been given a measure of faith," and is an action to trust in God

(Rom.12.3c; 1 Cor.12.9; Prov.3.5,6; James 4.8).

To have faith in the NT sense, means that the believer is "continuing to believe." No matter what happens, we "walk in faith" (2 Cor.5.7). This means that our ambition is "to be pleasing to Him (Jesus)(5.9b).

It's not about us; it's about Him.

Our "life of faith" is really life in Him, "who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame...enduring such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart" (Heb.12.2,3).

For "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me"

(Gal.2.20).
