As we bring to a close yet another year let us not forget all who've gone before us. So many changes, new beginnings even in the midst of it all. We usually like to remember only the good things, but as James put it, let us 'count it all joy in the various trials' because these things help us to grow in strength and be stronger in our faith with perseverance (paraphrased Jas. 1:2-3). God is on the move, always looking ahead for 'we are more than conquerors’ through Him, as we align our will with His. ("Thy will be done" Matt 6:10) As the battles are won or lost the WAR on the adversary continues. It's His not ours (II Chronicles 20:15) He does not move backwards. Let's look forward together to the upward call in what He has in store for us through His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "He is the author and perfecter of our faith" (Heb. 12:2).
"And we know all things work together for good to those who love God, and to those who are called for His purpose." (Rom. 8:28) "He will make all things new" (II Cor. 5:17).
