Transitional Housing

Keep praying for the Transitional Housing project. We need for the City of Show to approve our plot modification, and we need to dig the ditches for the electrical, along with APS giving us the promised materials to complete the hookups. We're also needing two tiny house slabs to be poured. Then too, there's the rental house that's been given to us which needs extensive repairs.

Arizona Origin Science Association

We’ve been introduced to AZOSA recently by Michael Calcagno, the local representative. Their mission is to inform the public about the truth of creation science over evolution. They sponsor talks

Jail Ministry

The jail ministry will be starting up again soon.

Please get an application from the entry way table if you have not already registered.

A training will be offered, and you will need to have sent in your application prior to that training. No date yet for the training.

Signs

Can we read the “signs of the times?” Jesus tells the religious groups of his days the Pharisees and Sadducees, “Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky but cannot discern the signs of the times.” (Matt.16.3)?

Jesus then tells them that “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign…” because they did not believe him (16.4a). So it is that all of us want sign to confirm our beliefs.

Finally, the only sign that we need is the sign of Jonah, who spent three days and nights in the belly of a great fish, just as Jesus spent three days and nights in the tomb. But, I doubt that the Jewish leaders understood this sign until it was played out before them at Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.

For us, the “gospel sigh” is the verification of who Jesus is as the Christ, but, like His disciples, we still ask, “Tell us, when will be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age (Matt. 24.3b). So, Jesus told them: “There will be wars and rumors of war; nation against nation; kingdom against kingdom; famines and earthquakes; persecutions; and lawlessness will increase” (24.4-12).

Well, all the generations of men have seen these signs in some time and form, and yet, they have not believed. What is up? Did we miss the Lords return? Not hardly. It has always been: “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1.27c).

It’s not the signs of a world in tribulation that give faith; it’s the saving grace of God in us. The moment we believe, Jesus has come again in us, and the greater sign that this is Jesus “coming on the clouds” (24.30).

“Therefore, be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming” (24.42).
