Schedule of Church Events

Sunday School: 9:30 AM

Worship Service: 10:30 AM

Women’s Bible Study: Thursday 10:00 AM

Men’s Breakfast: Saturday 7:00 AM

The Building Fund

Thanks for giving to our building fund. The thermometer is going up! Take a look inside the addition. The walls are framed up for the specific locations of bathrooms, classroom, utility, and sprinkler riser room, plus storage.

Next: moving the electrical panel and propane service. Keep praying!

Victory Village Dedication

Don't miss the dedication this Friday at 11:30 pm. Why? Because, after four years of delays and annoying, added require-ments, we have our building permits. PTL! He has answered our prayers. This is not just another event among many. It celebrates the God-given vision that moved many to act on behalf of the homeless. Not a week goes by that Pastor Tom doesn't have a couple of calls from clients who are homeless. These are not street people; they are those who've had personal crises, like job loss. They are capable of recovery, but they need help in the short run.

The Truth Rally

The Truth Rally was held and decisions were made. Our church served as the worship team on Tuesday and Thursday.

Thanks team!

THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME OUT FOR JESUS IN THE PARK. YOUR DEDICATION AND PRESENCE IS MUCH APPRECIATED!

Shepherding Groups

Our Shepherding Groups meet on Wednesday evenings. There are three: Lee Copeland's Group, meeting in his home in Borden Ranch; Pastor Tom's Group, meeting in our church, and Roger Brown's Group, meeting in his home. Contact these leaders for time and place location (Lee: 480-518-1178; Pastor Tom: 928-243-1864, and Roger: 520-241-9289.

Change

The only constant is change. Everything is moving forward in a relentless evolution that often defies understanding. Most folks don't like change because it demands that we rethink our lives and make adjustments.

Jesus' Church is not exempt from change. We only need to remember what our Lord told Nicodemus: "...I say to you unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3.3). Later the evangelist writes: "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come" (2 Cor.5.17). Christ's church is being transformed (changed) as we as believers become new.

But, I like the old things. I'm like that one of the Seven Dwarfs who's coffee cup Snow White washed clean. He complained: "She got rid of the sugar left in the bottom."

Well, I personally don't like change. I like things to continue as they've been without any annoyance. Yes, true, but our lives are like the weather. You can't really predict it, nor can you plan it; all you can do is plan for the sun and the rain. That's the reason I carry an umbrella in our car.

But, some things you can't plan, like when you die. This is when faith comes into play.

Do you believe that God loves you and has a plan for your life? Yes, that's a big one. Do you believe that "God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Rom.8.28)? So, I guess we need to put our faith in God and not be distracted by the worldly march of time and the changes along the way.

Will God care for me...will he answer my prayers...will he take care of my family...will He provide for my needs...will He care for my church? I must answer, "Yes," by faith.

God bless.

Pastor Tom
