CHURCH STAFF MEETING, TOMORROW, @ 4:30 pm At Pastor Tom’s house
We want to thank all the NHCF members who have been working on the "Transitional Housing" house in Wagon Wheel. It’s now complete. And we are housing a woman and her children. Please know that housing on the mountain is very tight. More needful people are asking for housing help. Keep praying for Victory Village to get past the hold-ups and to start building tiny houses.
This is an important time in the life of NHCF. We're growing. It takes all of us to respect and help each other find seating and space to fellowship. Your leadership is praying and looking into adding space to our building. As we grow may God be blessed.
AFTER CHURCH STARTING MARCH 27TH , WE WILL BE PRACTICEING A BEAUTIFUL SONG FOR EASTER.
Our "mission statement" is: "To do things Jesus' Way, by Jesus' teaching, and for Jesus' glory." It's a nice thought, but it means nothing unless we act on it. So, we support nine missions on a monthly basis, both away and close to us.
We give of our time, talent and resources to the needs of our church family and to the community at large. We live the gospel. So is the challenge for each of us. Be Jesus in the world.
We're living in a time of lies and deceptions. The innocent American public is at the mercy of the information handlers, who promote their own agenda to our exclusion and determent. We are "the deplorables."
In times like these, it's necessary for believers to return to God's Word for reliable information. What should we believe and how should we then live? What does Jesus say, and more broadly, what does the Bible say?
Case in point: the "mask mandate." It now turns out that the CDC and its representatives, like Dr. Fauci, were peddling untrue propaganda about masks. "The science" has since shown that masks are worthless in preventing disease, unless they are high tech, surgical masks.
God's Word says, "Bless the LORD, O my soul...who heals all your diseases" (Ps. 103). God's Word says, "...to give you a future and hope" (Jere.29.11). God promises us in Jesus to answer our prayers and to give us life and well-being. So, what do you believe?
Some will counter this view, saying in effect, "Yes but...we need to prepare for the worst and hope for the best." Okay, does this mean that we prepare first and pray and believe last? I don't think so. The life of faith is based upon the promises of God's Word, not the speculations of men.
We are called, as believers, to trust God (Prov.3.5,6). But, what if we die? Hallelujah! We'll be home in glory!
If this seems odd to you then it's time to review your faith life.
Remember:
"They overcame him (the devil...the chief propagandist) by the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony...and they did not love their life even to death" (Rev.12.11).
