It's our pleasure today to lead Steve and Seta Bundy in the renewal of their marriage vows. Their testimony to the importance of biblical marriage reminds us of God's plan. One man and one woman brought together a holy state, and believing families being formed, is God's divine intention.
The onsite house is remodeled and Maria Stokes, our site manager, has moved in. The plot map is done along with the design and elevations for the tiny houses (See these posted in our entryway.). Your prayers and contributions are appreciated as we move ahead on the project. Thanks.
Nav. Co. has installed a new culvert and road entry from Cheney Ranch Loop into the lower level. The new area will be graded and filled as needed to support parking. We are discussing having a "golf cart shuttle" from there to our chapel. Your thoughts?
The Bible teaches us to "walk by faith" (2 Cor.5.7). What the evangelist means is that human perception is easily tricked. What seems apparent to us is often a lie, shaped by our own fears and worldly biases.
Jesus emphasized faith as paramount to living on this planet (Mark 11.22-24). We must ignore the loud distractions around us that draw us away from God, and instead, "draw near to God by faith" (James 4.8). This is sanctified common sense. It is not based on what man says, but rather, what God says.
Learning to walk by faith is the most difficult thing a believer must do. Yet, the Bible is full of examples of such faith that "heals and makes one whole." In the face of rack and ruin, ordinary people come to the end of their rope, look up and say, "I do believe; help Thou me in my unbelief" (Mark 9.23,24).
It's refreshing that when we do commit ourselves to walk by faith that God acts, and we are amazed by the results.
Our congregation has been learning to walk by faith throughout this virus threat that has crippled our nation. While others were living in fear, isolating themselves and listening to the advice of men, we were coming to church and having fellowship with one another as we should by faith.
Is such faith fool-hardy? You decide. Just remember...Jesus was faithful to God, and men crucified Him, but God raised Him up on the third day.
