Our men are praying and fasting the Men's Breakfast through Lent.
On Friday, March 26th, Mountain Christian School students will have a yard sale and car wash from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Proceeds will go towards financing a field trip to Washington, DC. Donations are welcome.
Our security team is concerned about stranger access to our building during regular meetings. It seems best to keep our doors locked when we're meeting. That's what the new doorbell is about. Anyone wanting entry can ring the bell and be screened at the door. Please take no offense at this practice; given the crazy stuff going on now, we're applying some sanctified common sense.
The onsite house is remodeled and Maria Stokes, our site manager, has moved in. The plot map is done along with the design and elevations for the tiny houses (See these posted in our entryway.). Your prayers and contributions are appreciated as we move ahead on the project. Thanks.
The new road entry and culvert are in, and the lot trees are removed. Matt Greenwood is preparing and
leveling the space for a cinder underlayment. Additional work is being done to protect our church sign and secure the drop-off between the levels. A stairway will be added from the lower level to the upper level. Your prayers and input are appreciated. As our congregation grows with summer visitors coming back, we need the extra parking.
There's a lot of anxiety out there on the street right now, even among believers. It's a very real concern. It's not that what's causing the anxiety is anything new, like political conflicts, personal crises, employment and economic distress along with international provocations, like the Chinese threat. Yet, there comes a time for believers to give their anxieties over to the Lord.
The Word says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Phil.4.6) 4.6). Too
Yes, we can stop watching the news. That helps, but it doesn't remove us from the daily challenges that we face. When it comes to us...when comes to you...your faith is the victory. John writes, "For whatever is born of God overcomes th e world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith" (1 Jn.5.4).
We must remember that Jesus has paid the price for our victory. In Him, we are delivered from the power and penalty of sin, which is temptation and eternal death . In Him, we have the precious promises of life, liberty and happiness. Yes, we do. You may not always feel that way, but feelings are like the weather; they are always changing. God's Word and His promises are always faithful and true.
Don't be deceived in the heat of your earthly conflicts. "Have faith in God" (Mark 11.22). For He is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Heb.13.8).
