Our men are praying and fasting the Men's Breakfast through Lent.
These Words of the Bible are dear to us, and they remind us of our God's great care for us through Jesus Christ our Lord. "Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Ps.119.105).
Thanks to Ron and Rondi VInnedge, who made possible our new LED sign. It's a bright reminder that the light of Jesus is the light of the world, and we share in that light as believers. We pray that NHCF will be filled with His light to our community in 2021.
The onsite house is remodeled and Maria Stokes, our site manager, has moved in. The plot map is done along with the design and elevations for the tiny houses (See these posted in our entryway.). Your prayers and contributions are appreciated as we move ahead on the project. Thanks.
Remember to be keeping Lent; prayer, fasting, confession and Introspection in preparation for Easter.
The NHCF Board has approved the expansion of our church parking lot into the lower level by the church sign. Nav. Co. will cut-in a new entry from Cheney Ranch Loop. We are discussing having a "golf cart shuttle" from there to our chapel. Your thoughts?
My mother taught me that "words are things," i.e., they have all the power to kill, ma i m and destroy, or, the power to create, heal and bless. Be careful therefore in what you say.
Remember that God created with His Word; remember that Jesus is the living Word of God (John 1.1,14). We have that God giving nature, being made in His image, to build up or tear down with words.
When we are careless with words, as when we pronounce curses on someone or something, we are doing the devil's work, who "accuses our brethren before our God day and night" (Rev.12.10c).Far better to say nothing, or to pronounce a blessing on someone for their salvation.
Think about yourself too. What are you saying about yourself? Are you typing yourself as sick and inadequate? Are you continuing to identify yourself as a sinner, a loser or worse? It's time to speak words of life to yourself. It's time to believe God in Christ, and pronounce words of life, well being and blessing. "Give thanks in all things for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thess.5.18).
In the words of our prayers, we reveal our mind's territory. Turn away from "stinkin' thinkin', and start praying what God has promised, not what you think can happen.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
