REMEMBER MOTHER’S DAY, COMING UP ON SUNDAY, MAY 8TH!!

Coalition Against Homelessness

Please keep in mind and prayer the efforts of the WMCAH to get our site built in Show Low. Currently, the property is being engineered, validation is being documented for the work done, an excavator is ready to set electrical conduit, and APS is committed to pull wire and set transformers. Most all of this work is volunteer. So, give a praise, and lend a prayer and a hand as you will.

PRAYING FOR REVIVAL

JOIN US IN PRAYING FOR REVIVAL. WE'RE PRAYING THAT GOD WILL MOVE ON THIS MOUNTAIN TO CONVICT AND DRAW PEOPLE TO HIM. THAT OUR CHURCHES WILL BE FULL, AND THAT MANY WILL COME TO SAVING FAITH IN CHRIST. WE KNOW, BY HIS WORD, THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL CONVICT THE WORLD OF SIN, AND RIGHTEOUS-NESS, AND JUDGMENT..." (JOHN 16.8). WE CAN ADD THE PRAYER PUSH TO GET IT GOING.

New Property

We now own the 1.62 acres across the street from our church. PTL! We will be inviting NHCF volunteers to help brush the property after Mother's Day on a Saturday. Be sharpening your chain saws and cutters. We'll saw up trees for firewood and run the off-fall through a wood chipper for ground cover.

Miracles

You're a walking miracle. The very fact that you can stand upright, walk and be mobile is a miracle. Add to this the "miraculous workings" of your body, which sustain your life, are miraculous. The beating of your heart, the respiration of your lungs, the metabolic activities of your body systems...all miraculous. Yet, we tend to think of miracles as things out of the ordinary.

Do you believe in miracles? "Yes, of course!" you say. To be more specific, do you believe that the God who keeps you living can heal you? Do you believe that He can bring you through trials and tribulations? Do you believe that He can bless you with all good things?

If we can take for granted the great miracle of being alive with all the complex things that involves, then we should believe God for "every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift from above, coming down from the Father of lights..." (James 1.17).

What's the key here? What does it take for us to expect miracles just as we expect our hearts to keep beating 80 thousand times a day? Well, it's faith.

Jesus told several, "Your faith has had you whole" (Matt.9.20,22; Luke 8.43-48). Our Lord was constantly telling His disciples "Have faith in God" (Mark 11.22). Jesus further told them: "...all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you" (11.24).

Is this too unrealistic for you? Has life taught you to be more of an earthman of tooth and nail, than a saint? Don't feel alone. Too many Christians live a half life of believing and doubting. Jesus' words to Peter are His words to us, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt" (Matt.14.31).

We doubt because we do not take God at His Word. We need to speak His words of life. We need to proclaim His promises to us, and speak them with our mouths, with thanksgiving (Rom.10.8,17). And. when adversity befalls us, we claim a healing victory in Christ by faith.
