The ribbon is cut!!

The WMCAH ribbon cutting was a great success. Many attended, and due credit was given to all those who've helped. Now, it's time to build the tiny houses. Your gifts of time, talent and treasure are welcome.

Praying About NHCF Growth

If you haven't noticed...we're growing. This means that we need a vision for the future. We've already expanded our parking lot, and we're in the process of modifying our building space as the need arises. Plans tentatively exist for a new chapel, and we could be going to two worship services in the near future. All of these things weigh upon our leadership because we don't want to miss God. Please pray with us.

Mom's Day

Next Sunday is "Mother's Day." The day honors, not only our mothers, but our women folk in all categories. So, many of us no longer have a mother on earth, but we still remember her. That memory of one who loved us and cared for us is celebrated in those dear women still living.

National Day of Prayer

This Thursday evening, May 6th, at 6:30 pm we are invited to join other Christian churches on the mountain for a prayer service at Blueridge Christian Center in Pinetop. The NDP is 70 years old, having been written into law by President Harry Truman in 1952. Prayer is the one thing that has kept our nation going these many years. Let's pray God's blessing (2 Chron.7.14).

A God blessed Nation

It's evident that God has blessed our nation over the 244 years of our existence. One only needs to read our state papers to realize that God is with us. The Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and our Bill of Rights are full of the ethical and moral predisposition of God.

Our founding Fathers gave careful attention to divine providence and especially General George Washington, who noted, "The man must be bad indeed who can look upon the events of the American Revolution without feeling the warmest gratitude towards the great Author of the universe whose divine interposition was so frequently manifest on our behalf."

Just reading the Bible should reassure us that God's watching over us. We too often lose sight of this fact in the challenges and disappointments of our days, nevertheless, the fact remains: "If God is for us, who is against us" (Rom.

When we come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, we know the blessing of spiritual comfort which attends our faith. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me..." (Pas.23.4). Yes, He is with "The Lord stands near..." (Phil.

Therefore, knowing these things, let us continue to persevere in doing good and praising God at all times. Let us be light in a dark world
