Thanks much for your generous giving of $300.00 to this important, yearly fund raiser for the Living Hope Women's Centers. They are one of our regular missions. We're still receiving change-filled bottles. More bottles are available in the church entryway.
We have been invited back into the Navajo County Jail as volunteers after a long Covid hiatus. We have gone through volunteer training again, and those who have applied will be ministering to
Inmates starting on June 1st.
KEEP PRAYING FOR GOD’S REVIVAL FIRE TO FALL UPON THE CHURCHRCHES IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS.
The Parking Lot and The Addition
We are making progress on our current church projects. The new parking lot has been brushed (Thanks men!), and the drive-way culverts have been installed. We've been meeting and negotiating with Navajo County and Timber Mesa Fire about our addition. Timber Mesa Fire has given us a pass...PTL! But, Navajo County is calling for a meeting with the County Planner. Keep praying.
We met for another movie night Friday. It was great. These are "faith based" films that inspire Christian living. You need to come and join us. There will be another film shown this Friday at 6:00 pm, and we'll be showing two films a month through the summer.
Okay, so many people "fly their colors," so to speak. They wear themed "T" shirts and vests; they have pins and patches; they put stickers on their cars and all so that people will know who they are and where they stand. Well, all and good, but I wonder about us Christians.
Just because you put a "fish sticker" on your car or wear a themed "T" shirt does not make you a disciple of Christ. Action is what counts. James writes: "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves"
(James 1.22).
Now, please don't get down on yourself if you lack in action. It's something to think and pray about. We need to pray, "Lord, what do you want me to do for your kingdom?" And when you get an answer, don't be too quick to back away, saying, 'it's not me."
Jesus' disciples were not gifted in particular ways until they surrendered to God. Then God made them into "apostles," who proclaimed the gospel message in word and deed with power.
Being the church of Jesus Christ is the greatest mission on earth. You are that church, and when you act upon what Jesus taught, you take on the "saltiness" and the "light" that's needed to convince and turn the masses to Him (Matt.5.13-16).
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil.4.13).

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
