Help Needed

We need workers to help finish the new church shed. We need drywall finishers, electrical assistance in connecting power, and roofers to lay in the metal roof. Please check with Rick Koberna if you can help.

Budget Planning Meeting

There'll be a special combined Board and Staff meeting this Monday, November 14th, at 3:30 pm in our church. We will be reviewing the budget playout for the past year and reworking the line items to fit a realistic budget projection for 2023. Much has changed in our church finances this past year, and formulating the 2023 budget will be a challenge. Your prayers are appreciated.

Community Fast of Compassion

Today we begin the annual Community Fast of Compassion. It will run through next Saturday, November 19th. Please consider fasting one or two meals this week, or more, and giving the money saved to the Fast. This is a personal way for each of us to be mindful and helpful to those in need at the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Christmas Program

We're practicing after church every Sunday before December 18th. Parts are still available. See Kate Hilton.

Soup and Bread Potluck

Sunday, November 27th, we'll have our regular "after Thanksgiving potluck." It's soup and bread. A simple reminder of humility and thankfulness in small things.

Voting

Thanks for voting on Tuesday, November 8th. It's our sacred duty as Americans to exercise our right as citizens of this republic. It's also a spiritual duty in so far as we honor God in the voting choices that we make.

As believers we are fully aware of the mandates of our Savior to love one another and to be salt and light in the world (John 13.34; Matt.5.16).Your vote can and must reflect that mandate. Whether it's a candidate or a proposition, we are called to make moral judgements based upon the teaching of Jesus and Scripture that bless God.

Furthermore, we know that there's no man or woman who'll save us. They may campaign to that effect, but finally, only Jesus saves (John 3.16; Acts 4.12). So, because we know the Lord, and because we love Him, and we abide in His Word, we make choices that reflect what He wants.

Such thinking realigns our whole perspective on things political. It means that we take seriously our citizenship in a nation founded on Christian principles, and we honor our constitutional republic. When we see these precious principles being transgressed and disrespected, we remember that Jesus, who is God's truth, was crucified by our lawless ancestors.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Rom.3.23).

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)..." (Ephes.2.4-5).

Thanks for voting on Tuesday, and for taking Jesus with you.
