Keep praying for the Transitional Housing program as work is begun on developing the new site. There's also a "presentation letter" available. Ask Roger or Lee for a copy. This letter will be used in introducing the site to community businesses, churches and individuals to raise funding.
Your church leadership is working on a "Master Plan" for the further development of our church ministry.
Key to the plan is a new, larger chapel to be added either to the north or south side of our building. The current chapel would become a fellowship hall and classrooms.
What do you think?
A number of our local churches will be gathering together to celebrate Thanksgiving this coming Sunday evening, November 22nd, at 6:00 pm, at the Hampton Inn. Cornerstone Church is hosting. The service is an unplanned, spontaneous out-pouring of thankfulness in prayer, Scripture reading, music and testimonies. Social distancing will be in place.
Thanks for participating in The Fast of Compassion. We've had good showing and several local businesses have made large contributions. PTL! Final results will be forthcoming shortly. In the meantime, be aware that this community effort adds much needed funding to local schools, helping organizations, and service groups to apply to those in need.

The Play
Shakespeare writes, "All the world's a stage. And the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts..."
("As You Like It," Jaques, 1599). So it is.
This life is just one big reality play, and we each play our parts without knowing it. The play becomes our lives, and we unknowingly submit to it, rather than laying down the script and acting from our hearts.
Much like the film, "The Truman Story," where Jim Carrey, playing the part of everyman and living in ignorant bliss under a false dome, is oblivious to his role in an on-going TV drama. So, each of us are playing out our parts, in like manner, believing that the stage and the play is all there is.
Well, Jesus pointed us to the greater truth: "...I go to prepare a place for you...that where I am there you may be also "(John 14.2,3). So, there's something more? Yes, beyond this earthly stage, there's a heavenly reality that awaits us. For..."eye has not seen and ear has not heard...all that God has prepared for those who love Him" (1 Cor.2.9).
We must keep this in mind as the stage is filled with actors who are in opposition to each other. For the play only lasts for a while and then eternity opens before us through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Yes, we're in the world, but not of the world (1 Jn.2.15-17). We're acting out our parts as they've been assigned to us, but we in Christ are more than the lines in the play We are God's elect, predestined for a real life in Him (Ephes.1.5ff).
