Keep praying for the Transitional Housing program as work is begun on developing the new site. There's also a "presentation letter" available. Ask Roger or Lee for a copy. This letter will be used in introducing the site to community businesses, churches and individuals to raise funding.
Your church leadership is working on a "Master Plan" for the further development of our church ministry.
Key to the plan is a new, larger chapel to be added either to the north or south side of our building. The current chapel would become a fellowship hall and classrooms.

Okay, so the presidential election hangs in the balance, and there's finger pointing all over the place for the causes. But, finally, as believers, we have control over one thing only, ourselves. We cannot change the factors, nor the outcomes of elections. Neither can we change the complex of circumstances that add up to the most recent divisions among us.
"...but one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil.3.13-14).
It's a matter of personal attitude.
Yes, there's a lot of suspicious stuff going on today; there's a lot of apparent cheating and deceit, but naming it, or even brooding over it, does not change anything. What makes the difference is each one of us having faith in God and rebuking the hostile, mean thoughts that assail us.
"Have this mind in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking for form of a bond-servant..." (Phil.2.5-8). We are called to make a difference where we are by who we are as servants of Jesus Christ. Therefore, everything that Jesus taught applies.
Jesus did not go around complaining and stressing about Rome. No, He "went about doing good and preaching the kingdom of God" (Acts 10.38; Mark 1.15). We should do the same.
Then you may say, "But, what if...?" Dear believer, it's in God's control; our responsibility is to have faith, be obedient, and love one another.
