Planning Center

We need some volunteers to run the “Planning Center” which is an online method of relating messages to our church family.
We are also seeking someone to coordinate the Sunday Morning  Refreshments; and this so that there will always be someone to bring food to our congregational family room tables.

Please see Pastor Jim or Cyndi DiMauro if you can participate in these  areas.

Remember 9/11

“He who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13). I’m sure most of us have heard the adage, “If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again”. This in a sense, is the definition of perseverance. Perseverance is to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty/or with little or no prospect of success (Webster).

When we lose sight of our goal and stumble, it isn’t the end. God forgives us and uses the experience to teach and grow us in His Word, increasing our faith and keeping us on the right path.  He says He will be with us “even to the end of the
age” (Matthew 28:20). He works in us and through us by His Spirit, to accomplish more in His service. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.” (Eph. 2:10)

Yes, we remember tragedies like 9/11. We remember the personal hardships we go through in our daily lives, too. Look to Jesus and focus on the Word. “We are hard pressed but not crushed, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed.” (II Corinthians 4:8)
You and I together make up the church that Jesus built and “the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18). Be of good courage, He will not leave nor forsake us (Josh 1:9).

We are a Christian nation. We are the church. Let’s not forsake the assembly (ecclesia) and continue to gather in fellowship
(koinonia) and He will accomplish what He has planned all along. Let us run the race set before us and remember but don’t look back. “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son” (Rev. 21:7).
“Fight the good fight of faith” (I Tim. 6:12).
