Easter Service

March 29, 2020

Dear Brethren –

Today, Sunday, the President extended his moratorium on public meetings to the end of April. This means, of course, that our Easter services are cancelled, unless we can come up with an acceptable alternate plan.

First, let me say that I continue to pray for God's favor to give us Easter. This is still a real possibility, especially as the rate of infection flattens out, or a vaccine is developed, or more importantly, that God answers our prayers.

I'm claiming Mark 11.24...pray -- believe -- receive.

Secondly, I'm asking your help in thinking through "small group meetings" for Easter Sunday. It would mean that we have half-a-dozen meeting places with 10 or less people. Margaret and I could be at our church for one group. Your ideas please.

This is one of those glorious exceptions, where we want to comply with the authority of those over us, and yet, at the same time, we want to be faithful to our Lord Jesus in worshiping Him and celebrating His resurrection day.

What's God saying to you?
